Cari Daly, the grandchild of Irish gangsters, Canadian mennonites, and Southern orphans, grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., escaped to NYC and currently lives in South Central LA.
She is the winner of the William J. Fadiman Screenwriting Fellowship for her drama feature, INTERWOVEN, and the Writers’ Room Ready television fellowship for her pilot, BANSHEES. Her work has been recognized by over 25 competitions, including Nicholl, AFF, Page International, AGBO and Big Swing Productions.
Daly recently wrapped on a new Ali Baba sci-fi romance series currently in pre-production. She has a feature in development with Maor Azran Productions, and is developing a new drama series with showrunner Ed Decter (SHADOWHUNTERS, THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY) and producer Thomas Hartmann (29 REFORM). In 2020, she returned to directing with a new comedy project named TOGETHER APART, under producer Thomas Hartmann.

She also does script consultation and has taught for NYU, AFI, and Barcid's Native American TV Writers’ Lab.
